Course Description
The Network Support Fundamentals course equips learners with the essential skills to manage,
troubleshoot, and secure computer networks effectively. This program covers end-user computing,
basic networking concepts, network protocols, and familiarity with network hardware. Students will
develop the ability to troubleshoot network issues, understand network security principles, and
gain knowledge of network operating systems. Through practical exercises, learners will gain
hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and securing network systems to ensure optimal
performance. Aligned with NQF Levels 3 and 4, this course is designed for individuals pursuing a
career in network support and administration. The following compulsory modules are included:
• End User: End User Computing (6 Credits, NQF Level 3)
